Hilton Tokyo Completes Renovation of All Banquet Halls becoming Next Generation MICE Facility with Largest LED Wall in Japan
Hilton Tokyo, located in Shinjuku, has completed a large-scale renovation of its entire banquet floors on the 3rd and 4th levels. This renovation was conducted with a multimillion-dollar investment to meet the growing demand for MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) from both domestic and international markets. With themes of flexibility, audiovisual integration, and experience-driven events, a next-generation event space fusing the latest technology with the traditional beauty of Shinjuku has been born.

Kiku Ballroom Boasting One of the Largest LED Walls in Japan
The Kiku Ballroom located on the 4th floor is the main banquet hall of Hilton Tokyo, boasting a capacity of 1,000 guests, a ceiling height of 5 meters, and a floor area of 945 square meters. The centerpiece of this renovation is the state-of-the-art curved LED wall installed within the venue. Measuring 15 meters wide and 3 meters high, it is the largest such wall in any hotel ballroom in Japan. Additionally, a large LED screen measuring 7 meters by 4 meters is positioned on the opposite wall, and these screens can display content independently or be synchronized seamlessly.
This advanced audiovisual system was introduced by Vega Project K.K.. The design prioritizes ease of use, allowing organizers to intuitively control lighting and visuals using wall-mounted touch panels or iPads. This makes it easy to create immersive productions tailored to the purpose and atmosphere of the event, from corporate conferences to glamorous gala dinners.

Functional and Comfortable Meeting Spaces on the 3rd Floor
On the 3rd floor, 200 square meters of space have been added, transforming the entire floor into a spacious meeting area totaling 1,200 square meters. This area comprises four meeting rooms, five function rooms, three breakout areas, and a lecture hall, which is a unique resource among hotels in Tokyo.
These venues are designed with a focus on the flexibility required for modern business events. Rooms can be connected, split, or oriented in multiple ways, and the layout is designed to coordinate smoothly with food and beverage service areas. Furthermore, the floor is directly connected to the Kiku Ballroom on the 4th floor via a spiral staircase and eight elevators, making it easy to use the floors together for large-scale events, such as using the 3rd floor for breakout sessions or waiting rooms.

Design Transmitting the History and Tradition of Shinjuku
The design for this renovation was created by the award-winning firm HBA (Hirsch Bedner Associates). The design concept incorporates the rich cultural heritage of Shinjuku, where the hotel is located. Inspired by the history of Shinjuku as a town of artisans skilled in letterpress printing and indigo dyeing, the design skillfully employs traditional Japanese colors.
Specifically, the color palette features deep blues and indigo prominent in Japanese art since the 17th century, harmonized with warm earthy tones reminiscent of wooden architecture. Gold accents have been placed throughout as a tribute to the samurai who once lived in this neighborhood. This space, which is equipped with the latest facilities while allowing guests to feel traditional Japanese aesthetics, is sure to leave a deep impression on visitors from overseas.
Summary MICE at Hilton Tokyo Entering a New Era
Through this renovation, Hilton Tokyo has evolved into a more powerful MICE facility where tradition and innovation coexist. General Manager Felix Busch stated that he looks forward to providing guests with an elevated level of service and creativity in this new space.
