About GREEN×EXPO 2027
The 2027 International Horticultural Expo (GREEN×EXPO 2027) will be held from March 19 to September 26, 2027, at the former Kamiseya Communications Facility site in Yokohama.
Recognized as an A1-class international horticultural exposition—the highest category for such events—the Expo marks Japan’s first hosting of an international horticultural exposition of this class since the 1990 International Garden and Greenery Exposition in Osaka.
Under the theme “Scenery of the Future for Happiness,” the Expo will present a vision of a sustainable society through the power of flowers and greenery. The event will feature international garden exhibitions and showcase advanced environmental technologies. Organizers expect more than 15 million visitors over the course of the Expo. The official mascot, “Tunk Tunk,” has already been unveiled, and preparations are steadily progressing toward the 2027 opening.
