One of Kansai’s largest model & hobby events; 65 exhibitors confirmed as of September 1

Concept & Scale

The 2025 Osaka Hobby Fes is one of the largest model and hobby events in Kansai, centered on exhibits of plastic models, radio-controlled models, die-cast cars, railway models, figures, and related paints and tools. The event is designed not only for dedicated hobby fans but also for beginners and families, offering hands-on experiences that highlight model hobbies as a cornerstone of Japan’s craftsmanship culture. More than 60 model-hobby companies will gather; as of September 1, 2025, 65 exhibitors are scheduled to participate. The previous “Osaka Hobby Fes 2019,” also held in INTEX Osaka Hall 3, drew long queues of over 500 visitors from early morning, underscoring the region’s strong enthusiasm for hobby culture.

Product Displays & Hands-On Areas

A “Product Display Area” showcasing each exhibitor’s recommended items will serve as a main attraction. A “Plastic Model Workshop Area” will also be set up for hands-on building experiences featuring popular character kits, offering fun for both children and adults. Visitors can watch radio-control demonstrations and try their hand at driving in the “RC Demo & Trial Area,” alongside additional experience and demo corners in cooperation with the Japan Radio Control Model Industrial Association. There will also be railway layout displays and a pop-up sales area operated by hobby retailers, presenting a wide spectrum of model genres.

Special Programs: Talk Shows, Osaka Pro Wrestling, and SDF Vehicle Display

Special talk shows featuring professional modelers and industry figures will delve into the depth and appeal of the hobby world. In cooperation with the Osaka Provincial Cooperation Office of the Japan Self-Defense Forces, the event plans to exhibit SDF vehicles and host a recruitment information corner. A special program by Osaka Pro Wrestling—Kansai’s homegrown battle entertainment—is also in the works, adding an extra layer of excitement. A well-stocked shopping area will offer exhibitor products and event merchandise. Please note that all listed programs are subject to change or cancellation without notice.
