Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, which operates some of the world’s most luxurious hotels and resorts, opened the Mandarin Oriental Downtown Dubai on November 7, 2025. This marks the group’s second property in Dubai.

The hotel is located within the 303-metre-tall Wasl Tower on Sheikh Zayed Road, a new architectural landmark that rises in the heart of the city. The Wasl Tower, where the hotel is located, is an architectural landmark distinguished by its sculptural, twisting form. It was designed by UNStudio, with structural engineering by Werner Sobek. The tower features the tallest ceramic façade in the Middle East, incorporating innovative ceramic fins that promote airflow and enable natural cooling. The interiors were designed by the London-based G.A Group, blending Mandarin Oriental’s Asian heritage with the dynamic spirit of urban Dubai. The property comprises 259 elegantly appointed rooms and suites, 224 residential units, and 10 restaurants and bars. A helipad is also located on the uppermost floor, accommodating private VIP arrivals.
