This Year’s Highlights
TOKYO GAME SHOW 2025 is set to spotlight an even broader range of content than in previous years. The show floor will feature diverse exhibition zones: beyond hands-on demos in the General Exhibition Area, visitors can explore the Smartphone Game Area, Gaming Hardware Area, e-Sports Area, and AR/VR Area. Exhibits will also include the AI Technology Pavilion focused on cutting-edge tech, as well as the All Accessibility Area designed with diverse users in mind.
Indie Games in the Spotlight
Indie showcases are another major draw. In addition to the Indie Game Area for developers, “SELECTED INDIE 80” will highlight 80 carefully chosen titles. The annual game-idea pitch event, “SENSE OF WONDER NIGHT 2025,” will be held, with eight presenter groups already announced. Pocky has been appointed as the official Indie Games Ambassador.
For families, the “Family Game Park” in the Event Hall offers free admission, providing opportunities to both “learn” and “play” through family-friendly game titles and related products. Support for creators and influencers is also substantial: a “Creator Lounge” will be set up at the Event Hall entrance, offering studio and streaming spaces to facilitate on-site content creation and distribution. The first wave of “TGS BOOSTERZ,” the event’s official influencers, has been announced, and general influencer entry is now open. Actor Kanata Hongo has been named the official supporter, adding star power to the overall event.

The popular “Cosplay Area” will be open in the East and West sections of Hall 9, which is expected to be lively with cosplayers. Business programs such as the “TGS Forum” and the “TGS Business Matching System” will also run, fostering active industry networking.
