[Coverage] Japan MICE EXPO 2025 — Nov 27–28 at INTEX Osaka — Two Days to Explore the “Now” and “Next” of MICE — Exhibitor Booth Highlights
On Thursday, November 27, 2025, Japan MICE EXPO 2025 opened at INTEX Osaka. Under the theme of connecting business events with new stages for regions, tourism, and exchange, the show returns to Osaka, where MICE activities continue to accelerate in the run-up to the Expo. The MICE TIMES ONLINE editorial team also exhibited.

Nationwide MICE Solutions in One Place
To strongly support organizers and operators planning MICE events, more than 100 leading Japan-based MICE companies are gathered on site. The show comprises two core exhibitions: the “MICE Destination EXPO,” which creates business-matching opportunities between organizers of international conferences and incentive trips and destination/supplier partners; and the “Exhibition & Event Support EXPO,” where suppliers that assist trade show and event organizers are concentrated.

Across the floor, you’ll find convention bureaus from around the country, the latest event-support tools, venues and hotels, PCOs, decoration and production firms, and other providers engaged in MICE operations. Visitors can directly consult and compare everything from regions, venues, and unique venues to specialists in planning, production, audio, and video, while also gathering the latest information that streamlines trade show operations. The greatest appeal is being able to address practical challenges and pick up ideas for new initiatives in one place.

Strengthening International Promotion by Inviting Key Overseas Buyers
Another key pillar is the reinforcement of international business exchange. MICE serves as a powerful driver of cross-border commerce. This year, a total of 28 influential overseas buyers have been invited from around the world, including the United States, Singapore, Thailand, China, India, Taiwan, Australia, and Europe. Through special programs—such as FAM tours, pre-matched business meetings, and networking events—these buyers and Japanese suppliers are provided with substantive opportunities to discuss hosting MICE in Japan.

MICE TIMES ONLINE’s editorial team is scheduled to conduct a total of 12 business meetings with overseas buyers over the two days. According to Editor-in-Chief Fujii, who participated on the 27th, the buyers were very friendly and often presented forward-looking proposals, making for highly productive discussions. It was such an enjoyable experience that we even took commemorative photos together with the buyers.
Exhibitor Comments
Technico Co., Ltd.

A full-service MICE production company. We handle everything from planning to onsite operations—and we’re also here for clients who aren’t sure where to start. Our core is technical production in sound and lighting, but we also coordinate staging and decoration end-to-end. For this show, we even paid special attention to the “backside” of the booth to showcase our technical DNA.
Sumida Ward (Sumida-ku), Tokyo

We’re known in Tokyo for a high concentration of unique venues—Tokyo Skytree, Sumida Aquarium, Ryogoku Kokugikan (sumo arena), and the Edo-Tokyo Museum are all here. Access is excellent: direct trains from Narita Airport, Haneda Airport, and Tokyo Station. With the Sumida River, cherry blossoms, and illuminated bridges, we can design enjoyable river-loop programs. Sumida retains downtown craftsmanship—from traditional industries and sento bathhouses to sumo culture—while also offering cutting-edge options. We aim to further promote Sumida as a MICE destination.
Nagoya City Small and Medium Enterprise Promotion Hall (Fukiage Hall)

Fukiage Hall is just 12 minutes by subway from Nagoya Station, making it very convenient for mid-size exhibitions, academic conferences, meetings, and receptions. Located in the city center with excellent transport, it’s easy to use for private or medium-scale gatherings. As a long-standing venue, we have deep know-how and can propose a wide range of layouts and uses.
Miyazaki Prefecture Tourism Association

Miyazaki was once a classic honeymoon destination; today, the entire prefecture is focusing on MICE. We offer extensive support: hosting subsidies, overseas incentive subsidies, and assistance for travel agencies—about 45 million JPY across roughly 50 cases per year. With many flights and easy rail access from the airport to the city, we’re strong for academic meetings. For large events, we recommend Seagaia and Miyazaki Kanko Hotel. The food scene is outstanding—so much so that pro baseball and soccer teams choose Miyazaki for training camps. There are plenty of local specialties, making after-MICE programs especially appealing.
Tokyo Big Sight / Ariake GYM-EX

The purpose of exhibiting is to promote Ariake GYM-EX, which opened in May 2023. The facility was created as a legacy venue of the Tokyo Olympics gymnastics arena. It features extensive use of Tokyo-grown timber, giving the exterior and interior a stylish warmth that also introduces international visitors to Tokyo wood. As a standalone hall, its entrance can be freely decorated for events.
Grand Mercure Sapporo Odori Park

We exhibited to build awareness in the Osaka market, where we have had limited sales activity. We also hope to match with overseas companies. Although this is typically a shoulder season, inbound demand is strong and rooms are relatively well filled; there is steady business travel demand as well. Today we have had several highly targeted, productive meetings, including with partners from China and South Korea. Meeting face-to-face even once makes it much easier to develop business, which is a key advantage of participating in exhibitions.
Aichi International Exhibition Center (Aichi Sky Expo) / Tokoname Tourism Association

The MICE TIMES ONLINE Editor-in-Chief and our student reporter (intern) dropped by the booth. Tokoname City recently exhibited at ITF, Taiwan’s largest travel fair. Known for its ceramics, Tokoname in Aichi Prefecture is now an emerging MICE destination in Japan.
