Tourism businesses from Kyushu and overseas startups to gather in Fukuoka for Asia New Travel Bootcamp on October 6, 2026; capacity set at 150

Asia New Travel Bootcamp (ANTB), a global conference connecting Asian travel technology startups with regional businesses in Japan, will be held in Fukuoka for the first time on October 6, 2026. It will be the event’s first edition outside Okinawa Prefecture. Discussions and pitches on emerging developments will address rapidly growing fields including well-being and digital nomadism.

Fukuoka to host the conference’s first edition outside Okinawa Prefecture

ANTB was founded in Okinawa in 2024 to promote open innovation across Asia. At its 2025 edition, 23 startups from eight Asian countries took the stage and more than 200 people attended. The event has served as a hub for cross-border business collaboration. The Fukuoka edition marks its first expansion outside Okinawa Prefecture.

The organizers are Fukuoka-based Yugyo, which operates initiatives to attract digital nomads, and WithBlue DMC, based in Okinawa City, Okinawa Prefecture. On October 6, the long-stay program for digital nomads “Colive Fukuoka 2026” and “RAMEN TECH 2026,” which brings together advanced startups, will also be taking place in Fukuoka.

The schedule is designed to give overseas participants several business opportunities in a single trip. Capacity is 150, and tourism professionals and investors from Japan and abroad are expected to attend.

Four programs on the day

The program includes three main sessions addressing changing needs and business challenges in the tourism market. They will examine themes expected to be central to the future of tourism business.

1. Frontline of Wellness Travel (1:30–2:30 p.m.)

The opening session, “Frontline of Wellness Travel,” will explore possibilities in well-being by bringing together Eastern knowledge of health and longevity and biotechnology, a Western scientific approach.

2. Asia Pivot Pitch (2:40–4 p.m.)

Six travel technology startups from Japan and abroad will each present their services in a seven-minute pitch. Judges include practitioners from hotel and ryokan management organizations, venture capital firms and destination management organizations. They will objectively assess the services’ fit with the Japanese market and their compatibility with regional businesses. The top company will receive the opportunity to pitch at the next main ANTB event in Okinawa.

3. From the Local (4–5 p.m.)

Tourism leaders from Fukuoka and Kyushu will discuss “well-being tourism that benefits the place where it takes place” from local perspectives.

4. Networking at The Ritz-Carlton, Fukuoka (5–5:30 p.m.)

The networking program beginning at 5 p.m. will include one-on-one business meetings matched in advance using registration data. The program will join “Founders Lounge,” Colive Fukuoka’s networking program, at Bay, the grill and bar on the 24th floor of The Ritz-Carlton, Fukuoka.
